Donor selection & evaluation
To assess for suitability of Donor:
- CLINICAL – history of risk factors for infection, malignancy (in the past 5 years). Presence of co-morbidities
- ABO typing (if recipients < 2 years ABOi transplant could be carried if isohemagglutinis titers < 1/16)
- Serology tests (CMV, Hepatitis, HIV)
- Infection and malignant screening
- Echocardiography: LVEF > 50%, not structural anomalies
- Coronariography (depending risks factors and age)
- Ratio weight donor-recipient (0.7-3)
